Why is my service buffering?
-Your experience will be highly dependent on your internet speed. We recommend a speed of at least 50mbps and higher, however 100mbps+ is ideal for homes with multiple internet users, and “hard wiring” by connecting your box directly to your router or modem will offer you the fastest and most reliable connection.
I don’t have a Smart TV, can I still use this?
-Yes! You can purchase one of our boxes, and as long as you have an available HDMI port and high speed internet, you can start streaming today!
Thousands of channels and the one I want to watch right now isn’t working, what do I do?
-Refresh the channel guide! Oftentimes a simple guide refresh can fix the problem. Also, there are usually alternatives, try the backup or try another region if available.
-Streaming quality is dependent on your internet speed. If it’s consistently slow, you may need to increase your speed or check the status of your modem and/or router.
-Inevitably, sometimes there are outages 🙁 No one can guarantee 100% uptime. That said, most issues resolve themselves within a few minutes and sometimes up to 24 hours.
How to get the best performance out of your NV Streams Android TV box:
-Keep it well ventilated; avoid enclosures and don’t place anything that generates heat on top of or underneath your box.
-Clear the memory periodically. Like Android phones, clearing the memory occasionally can help improve performance and reduce lag.
-Hardwire your box to get the fastest speed. Use Cat 5e, or higher, ethernet cable to get the best possible speed and experience from your box.
-Don’t “overload” your box with commands. Give the box time to respond to your remote commands, it will appreciate it 🙂
-Restart your box periodically.
